Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of DavidArchive™, a white-label personal media archive application ("the Service") provided by MyFamilyTechGuy® ("we," "us," or "our").
By completing a purchase you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before ordering.
The Service
DavidArchive™ is a custom-built, white-labeled Progressive Web Application (PWA) that allows you to catalog your personal media collection — including music (CDs, vinyl, cassettes) and movies/TV (DVD, VHS).
Each purchase includes:
- A personalized app branded with your first name
- Your own private cloud database (Supabase)
- Three ways to add items: barcode scan, database search, or manual entry
- Automatic metadata lookup with cover art, genre, and cast auto-fill
- Physical location tracking by bookcase and shelf
- Sunset and Midnight theme options
- Owner-only access with email code sign-in
- Installation on Android, iPhone, and desktop
- Stats dashboard and CSV export
- A personalized Certificate of Registration
- A private URL at your-name.davidarchive.com
Custom build: Each DavidArchive™ instance is individually built and deployed for you. Your database, your URL, and your data are completely separate from all other customers.
Gift orders: DavidArchive™ may be purchased as a gift for another person. When ordering as a gift, the buyer provides the recipient's name, email address, and preferred archive name. The onboarding email and archive access are delivered to the recipient. The buyer is responsible for ensuring the recipient's information is accurate. All purchase terms, including the no-refund policy, apply to the buyer at the time of checkout.
Payment
The current price for DavidArchive™ is $250 USD, charged as a one-time fee. There are no monthly subscriptions, recurring charges, or hidden fees.
Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card information. By completing payment you confirm you have read and agreed to these Terms.
No Refund Policy
Due to the custom nature of each DavidArchive™ build, all purchases are non-refundable. We do not offer monetary refunds once payment has been processed.
However, we stand behind our work 100%. If something isn't right with your archive — anything at all — reach out to us and we will make it right. That's our promise.
Each archive is custom-built specifically for you — your name, your private database, your subdomain — and significant time and resources are invested immediately upon payment. This is not an off-the-shelf product that can be restocked or resold.
Our "make it right" commitment includes:
- Fixing any technical issues with your archive
- Rebuilding your archive if something goes wrong on our end
- Responding to support requests within 24 hours on business days
We strongly encourage you to:
- Review the live demo at demo.davidarchive.com before purchasing
- Read these Terms fully before completing checkout
- Email us at hello@davidarchive.com with any questions before ordering
Delivery guarantee: If we are unable to deliver your archive in the next scheduled weekly release due to reasons on our end, we will issue a full refund. Technical issues experienced after delivery are handled through our support and make-it-right process.
Delivery
Archives are built and delivered in weekly releases every Monday. Orders placed Monday through Friday are included in the next Monday release. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday are included in the following week's release. You will receive an email with your private URL and setup instructions when your archive is ready.
For gift orders, the onboarding email is sent to the recipient at the delivery date you specified. If no date was specified, delivery occurs in the next scheduled Monday release.
Delivery may be delayed in the event of holidays, high order volume, or circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you by email if your delivery will be delayed.
Ownership & Data
Your collection data belongs to you. You can export it at any time as a CSV from within the app. We do not sell, share, or access your personal collection data.
The DavidArchive™ software, branding, and infrastructure remain the intellectual property of MyFamilyTechGuy®. Your license is personal and non-transferable — you may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute your archive instance.
We reserve the right to discontinue hosting infrastructure with reasonable notice. In such an event, you will be provided with a data export and reasonable transition time.
Acceptable Use
DavidArchive™ is intended for personal, private use only. You agree not to:
- Use the service for commercial resale or redistribution
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy the application
- Use the service to store illegal content
- Share your archive URL publicly in a way that circumvents the PIN security
Limitation of Liability
DavidArchive™ is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding uptime, data retention, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyFamilyTechGuy® shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your archive.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of your archive after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
